Weekend Things...

We have been having some beautiful weather here. I can actually have the windows open. So we have been doing the Netflix as of recently, and we have been taking advantage of the free downloaded moves. So yesterday I have been dying to see the movie "Ponyo." I saw "Spirited Away" several years ago by the same director. The beautiful artwork is unbelieveable in this film, not to mention the imaginative story line. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a preview.

I have been reading the book "Anne of Green Gables" a part of Pip's book club over at "Meet Me At Mikes." I blazed through it, thinking wow, this is an easy read, only realizing I was reading the abridged version. What a dork. I will have to get the original copy at the library this week. It was good though.
I have been cross stitching like mad lately. I hope to have some fun new but with old theme to share this week. I really do enjoy cross stitching. If you have never done it before, it is quite thearaputic. One of my fave inspirations that I have found is

So many fun ideas and inspiration. You can order it from Kinokinya, one of my fave places to order books that aren't available are your local bookstore.
My husband has always been a Alex P. Keaton fan, from "Family Ties." So last year he commissioned me to make him a picture for his desk. I had so much fun making it.

I have yet to learn how to crochet. One of my crafty goals for the year. I have got to make a granny square. I would love a granny square afghan.
Have a great Sunday!
